Data is something which is yet to have a meaning to its receiver and still requires processing. Data can be seen in the form of situation, image, alphabets, numbers, mathematics, language, or even other symbols which can use an instrument to view surroundings, object, event, or a concept. Information serves as the result of processing of a model, formation, organization, or even a shift of form from data which already acquires a certain value, and can be used to enhance the knowledge of its receivers. In this case, data can be regarded as an object and information is a subject which is useful to its receivers. Data and information are two different things, whereas the value of information can be inferred as the value which is highly needed by top managements when they want to implement their policies in decision-making. Information has an added value compared to data, whereas information is the value which has a moderatley significant impact to the performance in an industry in particular. Meanwhile, data is merely data, it has no meaningful impact to the industry's performance. Management information system is expected to increase the performance of the divisions which already exist in industry, wherein accurate and precise information, specifically could increase the quality of an item which is produced in raw to finished goods industry, as well as semi-finished goods industry. Particularly in supporting activities in production section in order to produce better goods, in terms of duration, cost, and quality.
