Isi artikel
With a rapidly growing legal and illegal immigrant population, U.S. Government agencies frequently require interpreter services. One such agency is the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), an arm of the U.S. Department of Justice that hears deportation, exclusion, and political-asylum cases. This article provides a decade-long historical perspective on language planning efforts and policy development in the area of interpretation services at the EOIR.
