Isi artikelThis paper looks at creativity in Indian English and Singapore English. The similarities and the differences between linguistic creativity and literary creativity in the two varieties are highlighted, and it is suggested that language planning policy and language planning practice in the two countries are largely responsible for the differences that one finds. Implications for language planning theory are explored.
