The most widely used refrigerant today is refrigerant R22. R22 contains a chlorine atom and has been forbidden to use and need a substitution. The purpose of the study are: to mix refrigerants propane and isobutane with various composition (90+10, 80+20, 70+30, 50+50 % by weight), to determine the effect of refrigerants R22, R134a, and the mixture on the refrigeration performance, and to obtain the optimal mixture to replace R22. Results of research: various propane and isobutane refrigerant mixtures have been successfully mixed and tested on the refrigeration. In general all refrigerants tested can be used on the refrigeration and can reduce the temperatures of the room. The hydrocarbon mixture of 80% +20 % by weight was found to be the most effective refrigerant to replace R22
