This dialect, which is also called bahasa gaul, appears to have moved further away from the standard dialect. Colloquial Indonesian has been much influenced by Indonesian ethnic languages such as Sundanese, Balinese and Javanese. The method of used in this study is descriptive qualitative based on the theory of grammaticalization induced by language contact proposed by Heine and Kuteva (2005). Data were taken from online sources, namely 20 websites that contain utterances or sentences in colloquial Indonesian. This paper shows that the creolization of this dialect can be seen from both the morphosyntactic and semantic structures. Sundanese is the provider of the basic morphological structure (prefix nge-, simulfix nye-, prefix ke- and suffix –an). Meanwhile, Balinese contributes the suffix –in that functions as a verb. In addition, Indonesian, which is standard Malay, provides the lexical elements for the dialect. Finally, in terms of syntax, there appears to be no change in colloquial Indonesian.
