The article discusses explicitational and implicitational techniques in the translation of a special accounting text from Hungarian into English. Whereas in the translational process generally explicitation can be observed, this analysis proves just the contrary tendency in the case of this special language. The causes for this can be found in the special characteristics of the two languages involved, as well as the legal requirements of this field.
