Isi artikel
Rendering culture-bound elements in translation is one of a difficult job for translators. Many factors have to be considered before doing the translation. One of the commonest factors is the target readers‘ condition. Using this theory, the translators face a dilemma of deleting or replacing some parts of the source text in order to make the target text more acceptable to the condition of the target readers. This study tries to explore the reason(s) behind such phenomenon by interviewing one of the translators from T3 magazine Indonesia.
