In a recent issue of the monograph series Publications of the American Dialect Society that was devoted to studies of usage (Little and Montgomery 1994), both drugldragged (Bernstein 1994) and snucktsneaked (Creswell 1994) received attention in their use as simple preterites by speakers of American English. Here I wish to expand the database of usage for each set of words considerably by offering several thousand recent evaluative attestations from the Midwest.
