Isi artikelCrisis is a kind of severe stress that negatively affects a person reacts it emotionally, experiences cognitive uncertainty, loses his personality balance. Crisis is not a result of the situation itself, but of the person response to the situation. Crisis is a subjective experience. Crisis occurs in relation to his social or ecological context. Therefore, an intervention toward a crisis condition should consider its context. Based on a context theory, crisis is not an isolated event faced by a person, but mutually affected in his/her social context (it's a reciprocal relationship). The context theory serves/functionss as a bridge of the gap between an individual intervention and the system intervention. In the context theory, there are four elements: facts, psychology, transactions and relation ethics. Crisis intervention in counseling is an urgent aid to help the client facing his/her emergency situation. Crisis intervention - in context theory refers not only to the individual who faces the crisis, but also to the social or ecological context; therefore it needs the system supports.
