This study aimed to see whether there is a difference in the financial performance between companies which were entered in Corparate Governance Perception Index and companies which were not entered in Corparate Governance Perception Index. Samples taken in thes study were 10 public companies were included in the CGPI and 10 public companies which were not listed in CGPI 2010. Companies Financial performance were evaluated by ROA and ROE. The author used Mann-Whitney test and indenpendent two-sample t -test with SPSS17.0 for calculating the data. Mann-Whitney tests of and test the two indenpendet samples t obtained the result taht there is no difference in ROA and ROE between companies were entered in the CGPI and the companies that were not. In other words, the CGPI does not guarantee the company's financial performance will be better.
