In total 83 children below five years of age were investigated for HBV serological markers, in connection with HBV immunization program. From 83 investigated children, 44 children showed anti HBs and anti HBc negativity. These 44 children underwent vaccination with Bio Farma HBV vaccine with a good result 89.7% were responded and become anti HBs positive. This result was comparable with other investigations. From this study we can therefore make a recommendation to use our national product which has a much cheaper price to achieve a successful national HBV immunization program.
