Isi artikelOne of the starting methods in single phase induction motor is use the auxilliary winding in the stator. In single phase induction motor, capacitor-start types, the capasitor-start and centrifugal switch is connected in series with the auxilliary winding. After the motor has started the auxilliary winding is disconnected by centrifugal switch and motor operates by main winding only. This paper presents the effect of disconnected by centrifugal switch to characteristic of the single phase induction motor, capacitor-start types. From experiment and calculation result, the charateristic of motor is change depend on disconnecting of centrifugal switch.
