The localparliament in the new order does not have the authority to supervise the regional head, after suharto's fall, the loal parliament has the power to monitor the head region, on the one hand this is good for democracy and recognition from various international institutions, but on the other hand the local parliament is unable or failure to protect and promote the welfare of lacal communities, local member of parliament also do alot of coruptionand colusion, so the local parliament can't be expected to prosper the people, this paper will discuss the various prolems of localarliaments and how the soluton.
