Energy is an essential for the survival of mankind, For that we need a tool that can process them properly where heat exchangers are one tool that can process the energy. In order to process an accurate calculation of energy required and appropriate for greater efficiencies generated resulting in a energy savings For accuracy and ease of design of heat exchangers, especially in the planing of thermal and while doing calculations manually, which put emphasis on the evaluation of heat exchanger design. Conducted in this study is to analyze the design of a heat transfer type of shell and tube to evaluate the mechanical design and performance evaluation. Metod of calculation using the method of Bell-Dellaware while the standard for evaluating the mechanical design is the TEMA and HEDH Results obtained in accordance with the standard design, while the larger heat capacity (over-Designed) of the requested where Q actual= 11005.435 kW and Q= 3864.841 kW required.
