This articleissetwithinthegeneralframeofthediscussiononthereconstructionofimplicitpremisesinargumentation.Onthe backdrop ofthetheoreticalframeworkprovidedbytheArgumentumModelofTopics(AMT),wesetouttoproposeahypothesisonhow the endoxaofagivenargumentschemearederivedfromcertaincognitiveframesactivatedbytheuseoflinguisticunits,whichwecall keywords.Implicitpremisesinargumentationaredescribedaccordingtothedistinctionbetweenproceduralandmaterialstartingpoints: the formerrefertotheinferentialcomponentoftheargumentscheme;thelatter,tothepremisesofacontextualnature,whichallowthe argument schemetobecomerelevantfortheinterlocutorsinaspecificdialogicalcontext.Ourproposalisfocusedonthereconstructionof the endoxicalpartofthematerialstartingpoints.Theproposedhypothesisonthelinguisticactivationofendoxaisillustratedthroughthe analysis ofacaseofpoliticaldebate.Thetheoreticalhypothesisproposedinthearticle,setatthecrossroadsbetweenthestudyof argumentationtheoryandlinguisticsemantics,isafirststeptowardstheunderstandingoftheconnectionbetweenthelinguisticandthe inferentiallevelinthestructureofargumentschemes.
