The admission port, in Otto engine cylinder heads, is one of the important means of supplying air and fuel mixture to combustion chambers. One of the important products of combustion processes is the torque and power developped by the engine. They depend on the quantity and quality of the air fuel mixture passing through the admission port and are identical with the porosity or efficiency of the admission port. This paper is an explanation of how to characterize the porosity or efficiency of the admission port using aerodynamic test bench, which produces good and rapid results.
