Isi artikel
People have generalized prejudice levels: those who are more prejudiced toward one outgroup tend to be more prejudiced toward others. We review how individual differences in prejudices have seen assessed (explitcitly and implicitly) and the predictors of generalized prejudiced. Social dominance orientation (SDO) and right-wing authoritarianism (RWA) are the best predictors or explicit prejudice. Why? One account suggests that they are dispositional sources, and a second proposes that they are ideological sources, of explicit prejudice. A third account suggests that they are both aspects of conservatism, which predicts prejudice. Finally, a fourth account suggests that they are aspects of higher order constructs that are the sources both explicit and implicit prejudice. We close with suggested research directions and conclusions.
