This paper discuss the design, manufacture and calibration of a sub-sonic wind-tunnel with the area of test section is 0.25 x 0.25 (m). The wind tunnel is designed based on aerodynamic principles using Bernoulli equation, continuity law and some empirical formulas. The horse power of a fan in the open circuit wind tunnel is determined on the Reynolds number and pressure losses. A static pressure ports as he tunnel reference is located in the upstream and downstream of contraction parts to measure the pressure difference. Dynamic pressure and air velocity in the test section is measured using a static test tube. Then, the different of pressure in the contraction area is calibrated to the static test tube in the center of test section. The relation between the increase of fan pressure and the motor rotation is measured in the downstream and upstream of fan house. All of the data from measurements is describe in graphs to know the relations of motor rotation with air velocity, power, efficiency, increase of fan pressure, K factor or dynamic pressure in test section and the pressure difference in contraction part. The variation of dynamic pressure in test section is also measured to get the flow uniformity in the test section. The results show that the maximum velocity and the uniformity of air flow in the wind tunnel is fit with the design.
