This study aimed to assess working postures in the packing tas, packaging department of a food manufacturing company. The postural assessment was conducted using OWAS (Ovako Working Analysis System). A random sampling was carried out to observe to workers's working postures with six days observation period. A total of 3.696 photographs each containing working postures taken from randomized time were collected. Each working posture (represented by photograph taken) was then coded and analyzed using The OWAS classification posture. Results showed that packing workers experience 24% of harmful postures and 73% postures that needing correction recently. Therefore, proactive steps are needed to reduce the problems as recommended in this research.
