Isi artikelAn experimental study was performed to determine, assess and compare therapeutic effect of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) at doses 2 J/cm2 and 4 J/cm2 in rhinogenic acute maxillary rhinosinusitis patients. Rhinogenic acute maxillary rhinosinusitis patients were divided into two groups, group A received LLLT at dose 2 J/cm2 and group B received LLLT at dose 4 J/cm2. Each group consisted of 7 sample. LLLT was given in fossacanina area, 5 times with interval 1-2 days. Evaluation was assessed from clinical (symptoms and physical evamination) and radiologic fi ndings (Water’s), with criteria as followed: recovery, improvement, or no recovery. From clinical features (symptoms and fi ndings of physical examination), the comparison between two groups showed no significant diff erence. From radiologic findings (Water’s), the comparison between two groups showed signifi cant diff erence (p<0.05). LLLT at dose 4 J/cm2 was more effective in treatment for rhinogenic acute maxillary rhinosinusitis than LLLT at dose 2 J/cm2. LLLT at dose 4 J/cm2 can be considered as alternative treatment in rhinogenic acute maxillary rhinosinusitis with air-fluid level.
