Fetal therapy is a method to provide optimal environment for fetal development in uterus. This article discuss four method of fetal therapy: medical therapy, fetal surgery, stem cell transplantation and genetic transfer. Many conditions can now be dagnosed accurately before birth through genetic and imaging techniques, some needs intervention before birth. Techniques of intervention includes open fetal surgery, fetendo and fetal image-guided surgery. Stem cell transplantation is treatment of choice for hematological conditions. Genetic transfer techniques is still in experimental stage and needs thorough evaluation in animals dan human before applied to fetus.
