Isi artikelThis research attempts to model the performance measurement for the miscellaneous industry listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) and the stochastic frontier analysis (SFA). There are 38 firms analyzed over the period of 2000-2005 or 288 pooled observations. It also tested out whether firm’s age, size, market share, and time period have effects on the technical inefficiency of the miscellaneous industry. Empirical findings reveal that the average technical efficiency for michellaneous industry is 0,531 which is below the efficiency frontier. The study also indicates the exixtence of outut slacks (output deficits) and input slacks (input wastages) in the miscellaneous industry’s operation.
