Coal is a kind of fossil energy which known by people long time ago. As a solid fuel, coal used by people before using oil fuel. Nowadays, the coal burnt not obey the environment have become our life unhealthy and uncomfortable. The coal washing by using water – oil have be done by some researchers. By using water – crude palm oil (CPO), sub bituminous coal from Tanjung Enim washed with this method. The product of this washing could be made become briquette. The CPO could be used as the glue media for 30-70 mesh coal particles. The increasing of calorific value effect to decreasing of gas emissions and also the time to the boil the water shortly.
