Isi artikel
The increasing complexity of family life courses in western populations has implications for a number of public policy domains, including implications fo individual health and well-being. Associations between family life experiences and mortality have been investigated in many studies, as summarized below, but most of these have focused on either marriage or parenthood. In this article we use a combined marrage/fertility indicator that reflests some of the complexity of family life courses and analyze how it is associated with mortality in the population of Norway at ages 40-73 in 1980-2008.
