Until now, fuel subsidy policy has been continued to apply and become a dilemma for the government when the state budget deficit. If fuel prices lead to increased inflation, so that purchasing power will decline, especially low income and poor communities. This position continues to be a dilemma for the government. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach during the relevant period by the current policy of subsidies. Based on this analysis, one attempts to reduce the budgetary burden of subsidies in the budget is to raise subsidized fuel prices. The choice of fuel price increases are the most appropriate alternative among the alternatives. Some strategies to raise subsidized fuel prices, namely (1) increasing gradually (slowly and not drastic), (2) period; and (3) consideration of national economy in the last condition.
