Isi artikelThe village's existence has been recognized since ancient times even before this country existed. Dutch colonial rule and during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia has put the village as a community that has genuine authority to regulate and manage their own households. The period after independence until the early birth of the New Order era (Soeharto's regime), not much change the format setting of the village and still dominant guided by the Dutch and Japanese rule. In a further development as a consequence of state law, changes in political and governmental system format and then followed up with changes in legislation in the field of politics and government with the conversion rules governing the implementation of the Village. Historical considerations and consideration of adaptation and anticipation of the demands of the main considerations governing the development, must underlie the concept of village development in the future.
