Abstract
Currently, many early childhood students find it difficult to concentrate on the material delivered by their teachers while studying and find it difficult to study. Media is one of the educational tools to help teachers convey topics to students, making messages easier, more interesting and more fun for students. Audio-visual based learning media can also attract children's attention during the learning process. One of them is the use of the Pinkfong YouTube channel. The use of Pinkfong can display learning that can foster children's language skills, from listening to speaking in English. The purpose of this study was to explore the application of Pinkfong Youtube media in the EFL Classroom by teachers and its impact on early age students’ motivation. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews and observation as the instrument. The collected data were displayed and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The participants in this study consisted of 20 Kindergarten students and 2 teachers at Dwisakti School in Bandung, who used YouTube Pinkfong Media as a learning platform applied for early childhood education. The results of this study indicate that the application of Pinkfong in learning can make students interested and excited during the learning process, and more motivated to participate in class activities. However, there were new challenges for teachers in implementing YouTube media as teaching materials in the classroom, including internet connectivity issues. As a solution to this problem, teachers can download the videos for later use. It is hoped that with the implementation of this media, teachers and parents can better understand the use of Pinkfong, allowing students to continue their learning both at school and at home.
