This study aimed to investigate students’ perceptions toward supplementary digital learning material for EFL students. The participants of this study were 41 students from St. Bellarminus Jakarta grade 10th senior high school students IPA and IPS class. This study investigated the perception of the EFL students to know whether the students had positive or negative perceptions toward the use of supplementary digital learning material. The researcher provided the students the questionnaires containing 12 items to see their perception toward supplementary digital learning material in the data collection procedure, and six students were interviewed to strengthen the questionnaire results. This research data was analyzed in mixed-method using quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings were analyzed based on the four dimensions: motivation and interest in supplementary digital learning material, digital supplementary learning material efficacy, difficulty in digital supplementary learning material, and preference for supplementary digital learning material. The result showed that most of the students had positive perceptions toward supplementary digital learning material. Although a few students had negative perceptions when encountering technical difficulties, the majority of the students enjoyed learning the supplementary digital learning material. The result of this study also showed that the engaging content from the supplementary digital learning material could be implemented into other learning subjects. |
