This paper presents the development of computerization in the fields of language and machine translation. It presents not only both the positive and the negative aspects but also the challenge that we are facing in Indonesia. The success of failure completely depends on the depth of the research activities on the Indonesian language which still has deviations here and there. At the end of the article a problem is given as an example that must be solved.
