Isi artikel
In an interview, AICPA president and CEO Barry Melancon talked about how change is creating incredible complexity in an increasingly global business environment. Melancon said their membership is about 14% larger today than it was in 1995. They have about 15% fewer employees. They believe that indicates a strong degree of efficiency. Their services have changed dramatically. Their advocacy activities are much more extensive than they were in 1995. It's very tough to have the necessary resources and strike a balance among the many priorities, as they strive to act on their members' ideas and to address their members' challenges. A truly significant accomplishment he's proud to point to is that they have changed the relationship with their members dramatically in the past 17 years. Their profession's services will change. They'll see more mergers as firms look to increase their competitiveness.
