Media play a big role in constructing reality. In the process of globalization, media create not just information but also money and consumerist culture. This article proposes that globalization dost not have just a normative side, but it also invites a critical mind. Only through critical discourse, the value, money, ideology and consumerism can be criticized. The aim of this approach is to understand the true reality and to push the salvation-actions from the hedonistic culture to a rational one which appreciates the autonomy of human persons. In this sense, media can be urged to be a means for the education of the mind.
