Abstract
While consumers' lifestyle has been widely recognized as one among the important factors to predict consumer behavior, many studies have shown that life style is related to personality traits. This study aims to examine the relationship between conscientiousness and neuroticism (personality traits) with money prudent (type of lifestyle). Big five theory of personality and theory of lifestyle are used as the theoretical framework. One hundred and ten fifteen years old adolescents participated in this study by answering the online survey. The results indicated that both conscientiousness and neuroticism significantly related to the lifestyle of money prudent, while money prudent is salient in the life style profile of 15 years old adolescents participated in this study. The findings are important as a reference to design marketing strategy and consumers education program for this consumers cohort, because in the next five or ten years they become the most potential and active consumers.
