Isi artikel
A full bail-out of the euro area's fourth-largest economy is looming. The symptoms of Spanish sickness are manifest in ten-year government bond yields touching 7.75% on July 25th; a previous bail-outs of Greece, Ireland and Portugal occured not long after rates has surpassed 7%. Even more pertrubing, two-year yields also briefly went above 7%, in effect foreclosing the government's ability to borrow at anything but short maturities.
