Abstract
This study aims to present anthropometric dimensions of Indonesian university students. The research was conducted in Metropolitan Area of Jakarta, Indonesia. One hundred and twenty five subjects (60 male and 65 female) age between 18 – 23 years old were participated. Sixty anthropometric data of the subject were measured by using anthroscan, the most update and high-tech instrument. The mean, standard deviation (SD) and percentile values for each body dimensions were calculated and presented. Results of t-test showed that the stature of Indonesian subjects in this study agreed with previous study in 2010 for both male and female. Stature comparisons with population from other nationalities showed that Indonesian population in this study are taller than some Asian countries, but shorter than population from European country and USA. In addition, design implication regarding anthropometric database in this study was also discussed.
