The study aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Interacting in English course using CIPP model. CIPP model is the evaluation model that consists of context, input, process, and product evaluation. The participants of this study were 26 students from the Interacting in English course (IWK 101) section A and Z at the English Language Education Department, Faculty of Education and Language, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. In the process of evaluating the course, 26 students were asked to fill in the questionnaire consisting of 29 items in order to see their perceptions while taking the course. Afterwards, the findings were classified and analyzed based on four components of CIPP model. The results of the study showed that project-based learning is successfully applied in the Interacting in English course, as its overall result shows that the course helps students in improving their English skills as well as soft skills. However, there are several things to be improved such as the duration of the meeting can be shorter, the lecturers should motivate them more while working on the project in group, and it can be seen that there is an expectation from students to get more listening skill lesson. Last, the suggestion for teachers and further study is proposed. |
