Isi artikelThis paper shows the implementation of optimal control based dynamic scheduling developed previously by Maimon et al. and improved by Wangsaputra and Sesaro. Maimon’ s optimal control based dynamic scheduling consists of three subproblems: sequencing, timing and loading problem. The numerical method in finding solution for each sub-problems is of time decomposition type. Improvement conducted by Wangsaputra and Sesaro is in the area of solution technique which improves the solutions findings. The problem encountered in Maimon’s numerical method is that the optimality of the solution as a one whole problem, viewed from all levels in Bill of Material (BOM) and all sub-problems (sequencing, timing and loading), can not be guaranteed. The proposed numerical method improves the solution searching by calculating the solution for all BOM levels. The implementation shows that the characteristics performance gives better solutions.
