Isi artikel
This paper addresses a flow shop batch scheduling model for single item to minimize actual flow time in which part processing time increase due to completion time before due date. The model of flow shop batch scheduling is to determine number of batches (N), batch sizes, starting times of processing, and sequence of the resulting batches .The problem is formulated as a non-linear programming model. A relaxation approach is applied by considering decision variable N to be a parameter to find solution of the non-linear model. A heuristic procedure, started with N=1 and increased one by one, is developed to find optimal solution. This paper is provided with a numerical example to show how effective the proposed algorithm solves the problem.
