Activity planning is a basic characteristic of modern industry because the effective control of human, raw material, machine, and money will basically drive a company into a significant profit. Therefore, production planning and control system are needed, and one of its forms is material requirements planning. There are several possibilities that may occur when a company doesn’t perform material requirements planning correctly. For example, it may lead into a condition of lack of stock or, in a contrary, an over stock of raw material. PT. Aliga International Pratama (AIP) is a company that produces carton boxes. As informed by the company, PT. AIP doesn’t apply a specific method in the material requirements planning. The production is merely run based on experience and intuition. In fact, there are several approaches for material requirements planning, one of them is by applying dynamic lot-sizing methods. Based on our calculation upon material requirements planning in PT. AIP using Silver- Meal, Least Unit Cost, Part Period Balancing, and Wagner- Within Algorithm, we found that the material reqirements planning for carton sheet and ink become Lot for Lot, with total cost of Rp 36.600,-. Several factors that influence calculation using the methods are ordering cost and holding cost. However, the method is less-frequently applied in the industry lines as it is complicated in calculation. Fortunately, the availability of information system computerized application nowadays, the calculation process will become easier.
