Background. Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, we lost a lot of lives, many human lives were sacrificed. Recently, WHO announced 1,192,644 deaths and 45,942,902 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in 1st of November 2020. It is known that physical exercise could increase a person's immunity capacity from COVID-19 infection by fulfilling several conditions such as the intensity and duration of exercise. Many of the comorbid risk factors from individuals will also influence the number in deaths and new cases during this pandemic. Considerations of old age, nutrition, psychological stresses are also a significant factor for the prevention and treatment of Covid-19. Besides prevention, improving the immunity of people with Covid-19 has become our concern. In this regard, consideration has given to the severity of the disease. Based on the severity of COVID-19, we allotted it into 3 parts, which includes patients with suspected COVID-19, confirmed positive without symptoms, and severely critical COVID-19 patients. Several physical exercise techniques have been developed by experts, and aimed to building immunity for prevention, treating and improving the quality of life while on the Covid-19 pandemic.
Conclusion. ACSM provides recommendations for physical exercise for 150 minutes per week, moderate intensity training for the aerobic exercise and for muscle strength training as many as 3 training sessions per week. the ferocious behavior of SARS-CoV-2 still has not been understood fully by health workers. Despite of that, there are factors that we are very certain influencing the health conditions such as nutrition factor and psychologically challenged environment. Therefore, it is not recommended to do exercise sessions with excessive intensity and volume. |
