This study focuses on the implementation of the flipped learning method on students' listening skills. The study aims to investigate the use of flipped learning on the students? listening skills. The research questions were formulated as follows: Does Flipped learning influence students? L2 listening skills in comparison to the control group?, How do the students perceive Flipped learning? The participants were 18 students from the LSAC course at the English Language Education Department, Faculty of Education and Language, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. The students were divided into two groups. Section Z as an experimental group consisted of 9 students, while section A would as a control group. The control group were used the traditional learning method and the experimental group used the flipped learning method. The duration were six weeks active school. Data collection procedures used pre-test and post-test results as well as students? responses from questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the average score of the two groups increased but the score in the control group were higher than in the experimental group. However, both methods did not statistically improve but students? responses through questionnaires and interviews showed that students have a positive responses of the flipped learning method and they hope can use this method in the future. |
