Isi artikel
Every person in Japan is covered by one of the five major health insurance schemes. Among these schemes, the Government sponsored ones for those employed in small and medium enterprises cover a large percentage of the population. This paper studies the impact of aging of the Japanese population on the provision of health care services at the government level and changing allocative patterns by type of household, and the manpower requirements of the programs.
