Isi artikel
As productivity is closely related to the internal and external competitiveness of the manufacturing industry and thus has a large ripple effect on the Korean economy, recent threats to the manufacturing industry such as environmental change and increasing manufacturing costs have brought the importance of productivity into focus. However, the immediate adoption of a conventional productivity index or productivity management methods in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises is often limited due to their precarious business conditions. Furthermore, there are difficulties in the immediate adoption of existing and generally used productivity indices such as labor productivity and total factor productivity as indices to guide productivity management on the shop floor, for instance, of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate a suitable productivity index considering the factors that have a direct impact on productivity for all enterprise management activities. The goal is to derive obscure but site-oriented and practical factors for management.
