To reduce quality problems and scraps like customer complaints and defectives in process, we have to investigate root causes, and then take countermeasures. On the other hand, if we inspect and correct improvement approaches which reduce these problems and scraps, we would solve quality problems indirectly and smoothly. This thesis is aimed at the latter, and proposes a tool for quality diagnosis which reduces customer complaints and defectives in process from the standpoint of own process quality assurance. Quality diagnosis is carried out by following a checklist for own process assurance, and gives notices to examinees, make their weakness clear. That checklist is composed of a vertical line (improvement approach) and a horizontal axis (level of own process quality assurance).We could standardize its format, so we expect not only using a checklist for own process assurance which is specified improvement approaches as a tool of quality diagnosis, but also using it as an education tool for local human resources work in overseas plants, and then they devise and use it to improve customer complaints and quality problems. To confirm validity of this tool for quality diagnosis, we applied it to overseas quality diagnosis of a maker. As a result, we confirmed validity of it through showing that it has possibility of achieving its aim in customer complaints and scraps in process quickly. Also, we expect horizontally expansion into other businesses because we standardized this tool for quality diagnosis and sharpened its versatility including checklist for own process assurance.
