The Japan Industrial Standards Quality (JIS Q) 9005 proposes a method of creating an organization capability profile for a Quality Management System (QMS). This method comprises 4 steps. STEP 1 is to select project areas, STEP 2 is to clarify Customer Value, STEP 3 is to clarify necessary capabilities, and STEP 4 is to elucidate the important Organization Capability profile. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of the practicality of STEPS 1 and 2 for Business-to-Business (B2B) manufacturer X Company.
