Abstract
Online learning became popular during the Covid-19 pandemic due to all schools shifted their learning method from face-to-face to fully online learning. Attitude is known as one of the critical factors that determine students’ success learning. Therefore, this study aims to investigate students’ attitudes toward English online learning with the implementation of the PPP approach and its relationship with their learning performances. The participants in this study are fifth-grade students in one of the private schools in Jakarta. The quantitative data were collected by using five points Likert scale questionnaires in the form of Google Form. The students’ performance data were obtained from their final exam score in odd and even semester. Students’ attitude data were analyzed in several ways. First is students’ attitude in general and followed by student’s attitude based on the attitude components. The data were analyzed using SPSS statistical tools in order to obtain the mean score. The result shows that students have a positive attitude in general and cognitive component was appeared to be more dominant than the other two components. Furthermore, the relation between students’ attitude and students’ performances were analyzed. The findings revealed that no relation was seen from students’ attitude and their learning performance.
