Isi artikelIn marketing field, one of marketing mix is about price. Recently price competition in airlines companies becomes tight. Every airline races together to cut their cost to make lowest cost. Air Asia, one of Malaysia airlines, is a low cost carrier. After campaigning their lowest cost services in electronic media and printing media, ticket reservation via Internet can be done so fast. By providing online ticket reservation, Air Asia has already influenced customer in making their decision to buy ticket. This strategy, performance and reservation of online ticket in Air Asia Indonesia. This research should give benefits to customers and to airline companies. The object of this research is Air Asia airlines. The effectiveness of ticket reservation is measured from the growth of sales volume by using observation and literature review. The result of reservation effectiveness is measured from sales volume which exceeded 67%. The online ticket sales is categorized effective. Air Asia is successful in implementing the lower price strategy because Air Asia use economic scale, adapt new technology and give an easiness access for customers.
