Isi artikelThe relative contribution of information about correct and incorrect discriminanda was assessed when monkeys performed the transfer of concurrent discrimination tasks. Performances by seven monkeys indicated that significant transfer was observed whenever objects constituting the correct list in a concurrent task were maintained in a transfer test. However, replacing the correct list with novel objects typically yielded no transfer unless the incorrect objects were maintained and had appeared four times more frequently than the correct objects during acquisition. Thus, frequency information appeared to provide an attribute that served as a discriminative cue in concurrent tasks and also helped to define conditions under which the Moss-Harlow effect might be demonstrated.
