Isi artikeliron deficiency is one of the major nutritional disorder issues in the world, especially in the poor states to developing economies, including Indonesia. Te purpose of this paper is to discuss the influence of the toward the iron ansorption in the small intestine. The method used is based on literature study and other related data and analyzed consumption descriptively. The results show that tea may distrub the absorption of both non-heme iron and heme iron is also a possibility. Impaired ansorption of iron that can occur due to consumption of tea is equal to 49-91% because the content of polyphenopis in tea and absorption disorders that may result can only occur when tea ia consumed in conjunction with the consumption of iron. It is important to note that the consumption of tea at the time of treatment of iron deficiency anemia should be avoided.
