Abstract
In several regions of Indonesia, cassava is made into several food products that consumed by Indonesian people. The quality of food products of cassava should be clinically tested. Fusarium species are pathogen, endophyte, and saprobe. The Fusarium endophytes on cassava were assessed to determine the cassava quality. This research aimed to isolate and identify of endophytic Fusarium on cassava from eight regions in Indonesia. The endophytic Fusarium strains were identified by using molecular phylogenetic analysis based on internal transcribed spacer rDNA sequence data. The results showed that the Fusarium spp. were isolated from five regions of Indonesia. The two strains from Wonogiri were identified as F. lichenicola, one strain from Lembang was identified as F. solani, one strain from Wonosobo was identified as F. oxysporum, and two isolates (Bogor and Singaraja) were identified as Fusarium sp. The study indicate that high diversity of culturable Fusarium endophytes of cassava from some regions in the Indonesia.
