Effective fuzzy front planning end in product development phase is very important steps to achieve successful product in the market. Successful ergonomics product is not only determined by the design itself, but also time and cost to make the products. Some of the contributing factors to the high cost of the product are lack of ergonomics skill of designer that lead to the trial and error nature of constructing the ergonomics product. Innovation ability of designer in small medium enterprise is often restricted by the fact that designer have lack knowledge of ergonomics. This difficulty can be significantly reduced and even eliminated with the application of concurrent engineering method supported by virtual prototype based CAD (computer aided design) and CAE (computer aided Ergonomics). The technology gives way to fastest and easy way in integrating ergonomics with product design optimization and anthropometric parameter for suitable target market prior to production. Therefore, we can anticipate all potential injuries caused by human-product interaction when the products are launched to the market. It is then expected that effective product planning will contribute to lower production cost, to cross the innovation border, and boost up Company’s competitive advantage.
